This was an image that I made on my way back home one summer afternoon in July of 2009. This photo caught the eye of the editor of Pennsylvania Magazine and eventually wound up being used as a full page photo in an article that they did on the history and construction of the viaduct. It is in the Nov/Dec 2010 edition of the magazine.</p>]]></description>

Being fleet of foot — I hopped up into the stands and quickly got about half way up and just aimed my camera out and over the railing and pulled the trigger a couple of times. I literally fired blind. I was able to get off two shots – the first one didn’t work out – this one – exactly what you see here sans the photoshop work.</p>]]></description>

True HDR images are built from multiple exposures of the same scene - that would be hard to do with moving subjects... lol! This was from an early spring training race hosted by the Corning / NoTubes cycling team out near Corning, N.Y. in April of 2011.</p>]]></description>

This is "St. Maximus the Confessor Orthodox Christian Church" which is situated on Gaskill Rd in between Owego and Newark Valley, N.Y. This is a cool little building. The sky and weather were magnificent on this particular day so I made a point of going home that way after work hoping to capture something special. I use a process called HDR, or High Dynamic Range, from time to time which allows one to capture a really broad range of light, shadow and detail in a given scene.
